Junior Solar Sprint
Junior Solar Sprint is back and even better than last year! If you like building stuff, working with your hands, or just crave creativity, then Junior Solar Sprint is for you. Students in grades 5 through 8 meet one day a week after school and work in teams of 2 to 4 members to design and build a model car which is powered by the sun.
You envision it! You design it! You build it! You race against other teams from throughout the state in a year-end competition. No previous knowledge or experience needed. We ask interested students and their parents to join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 31st at 6:00 p.m. in the WMS caffeteria. Flyers are available in the office. See you then!

Just a Reminder
Parents please review the SurveyWorks materials that were mailed home last week.
The student surveys are very helpful for us as we constantly seek to improve the learning experience for all Westerly children. If, however, you prefer for your child not to take the survey, please let us know by returning the Opt-Out form immediately (deadline 1/19/12). If that has been misplaced or if you have questions, please check out the SurveyWorks website at www.surveyworks.ride.ri.gov or call Mr. Rexrode in the WMS Guidance Office.
Please don't forget to complete your Parent Survey on-line as well.
